Easter Front will be held as part of the Conquest 2022 gaming event. Specifically it will take place on Saturday, the 16th of April and Sunday, the 17th of April.
For more information, to submit an army list and for registration information please email Brad at: whatisabattle(at)gmail (dot) com or Leigh at: cmdr_roy (at) hotmail (dot) com
Please be on time for this event. Registration opens at 9:00 AM on the 16th of April BUT YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER AND PAY FOR THE EVENT IN ADVANCE THROUGH THE CONQUEST WARHORN PAGE. Games will begin at 9:30 AM sharp.
Given that this event is geared towards fun, inclusive play and that it is designed to welcome newer players to Melbourne’s Bolt Action scene, we have fairly high standards for listing for this event. As a result we will be rather draconian with list submissions, though there are no units restrictions for this event, I would like to emphasise that this is a fun, casual event. Please consider your opponent’s enjoyment of your game when creating your army list.
I would like to encourage people to experiment and play with lists that are fun to play with and to play against. This is NOT a win at all costs event. The TO’s reserves the right to ask players to resubmit army lists that are considered… perhaps “too hard” for the spirit of the event.
If you are unsure, please ask.
- All armies for this event should be no larger than 1005 points.
- Forces may be made up using the generic reinforced platoons rules or they can be made using Theatre Selectors. Armoured platoons are not allowed for this event.
If you have any questions. Please ask.
Please make sure that you are familiar with the most up to date rules FAQ PDF available (for free) from the Warlord Games Website.
ARMY LISTS ARE DUE (by midnight) on April 9th
Please email them to: whatisabattle(at) gmail (dot) com
As stated above, Easter Front is a six game event. Each round will last 2.5 hours. In Round 1 players will be chosen at random but grudges are possible at player request. We will be using 6 missions over the course of the two days. four will be objective based missions and two will be based on “Meeting Engagement” (where you win by “killing” more order dice than you loose).
We will be running some missions from the 2020 Bot Action Alliance Mission Pack, some from the standard Bolt Action Rulebook and we will be introducing two new missions not previously seen before.
There will be a 30 player cap for this event.
For this event you will need:
- Warlord order dice (rounded edges preferred) and enough six sided dice to play the game
- 3, 40mm circular objective markers
- A tape measure
- The rulebook and relevant “Armies of…” book or list
- Pin markers
- A pen and/or a pencil
- 6 print outs of your army list
- An appropriate dice bag
